The revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) is introducing Open APIs into banking

The PSD2 goal is to level the playing field between incumbent banks and FinTechs. Banks provide licensed third parties secure access to customers’ accounts, resulting in increased value for customers. Wealth Management

As of 1st January 2016, clients can enquire on the previous month’s closing balance of their securities custody accounts and investment accounts also via the online platform operated by the Central Bank of Hungary (CBH). The balance can be accessed with the Bank-generated user ID and the latest password shown on the monthly account statement (statement of holding) as of the 10th day of each month, on the webpage of the CBH under this link.
